Travel
Publishers International, Inc.
is run by Patricia Arrigoni ~ author, travel journalist,
columnist, and photographer. As a freelance writer, Patricia Arrigoni
has published for newspapers and magazines throughout the United
States and Asia. She was syndicated weekly for four years with
Gannett News Service (92 daily papers and 42 weeklies) writing
travel and supplying photographs and was a former columnist and
travel editor for the six Scope Newspapers in Marin County,
California. Arrigoni has had a one-woman photography show at the
Marin County Civic Center (San Rafael, California), and photo
showings in several businesses in Marin and San Francisco. Her
photographs have also been published in newspapers and magazines
throughout the United States.
Currently,
Arrigoni writes travel articles and supplies photographs for travel
on a freelance basis for Creators Syndicate (2400 outlets worldwide),
and other newspapers and magazines. She wrote for Copley News Service (200 newspapers) previously. Pat also wrote travel
and features as a correspondent for the Marin Independent
Journal in Marin County, California. She is also the former
Senior Editor for International Travel News, a magazine
published in Sacramento, California. Some publications Pat has
written for include National Geographic Traveler, FarEast
Traveler, Chicago Tribune, Asia Pacific Traveler
and Travel Age West, and Arts & Antiques Magazine.
In
2006, Arrigoni produced a 56 minute documentary entitled "Old-Fashioned
Fun on Route 66," combining never before seen 8mm film of
her family traveling the "Mother Road" in the 1940's
with a recent road trip.
Arrigoni
is a member and served as President (1996 - 1998) of the Travel
Journalists Guild based in Chicago, Illinois, and is also a member
of the Northern California Bay Area Travel Writers, as well as
the Bay Area Independent Publishers and the Society of Children's
Book Writers and Illustrators. |
